Cody Rhodes has been the ultimate babyface since his return to WWE in 2022. However, wrestling veteran Magnum T.A. suggested Cody's image would eventually change after recent developments in The American Nightmare's storyline with Kevin Owens.

The Undisputed WWE Champion successfully defended his title against The Prizefighter at Saturday Night's Main Event. During the match, Rhodes gave what some considered hints of a potential heel turn. Despite his victory, The American Nightmare was stretchered out of the arena after getting destroyed by Owens in a post-match attack.

While addressing Rhodes' future on the Straight Talk with The Boss podcast, Magnum T.A. predicted that the 39-year-old would eventually turn heel. The veteran claimed the Undisputed WWE Champion could be hated as much as he is currently loved.

"I could see Cody turning heel. I could totally see Cody turning heel because, at some point in time, he can only carry this part of his persona so long. He could probably be equally as hated as he has been loved," he said. [37:51-38:14]

Will Cody Rhodes compete on WWE RAW's premiere on Netflix?

Cody Rhodes has been absent since falling victim to Kevin Owens' vicious attack at Saturday Night's Main Event. However, WWE Hall of Famer Eric Bischoff believes The American Nightmare will be on RAW's debut episode on Netflix on January 6.

The former RAW General Manager predicted that the 39-year-old would have a rematch against KO on the red brand.

"I think Netflix. Too much other business needs to be done before the end of January. And I think if they're going to do the rematch, I think they set it up perfectly here. I think if you waited too long, it would lose momentum. I would keep the gas on it; keep the momentum on it; keep the focus on it. But I would deliver it definitely on Netflix," he said.

Three huge matches have already been announced for the January 6 episode of RAW, as Roman Reigns will battle Solo Sikoa in Tribal Combat, Seth Rollins will square off with CM Punk, and Rhea Ripley will challenge Liv Morgan for the Women's World Championship.

It will be interesting to see if a rematch between Owens and Rhodes is added to the card.
