Mojo Rawley worked with the WWE from 2012 to 2021. He just achieved a major personal milestone.
The former WWE Superstar and his wife welcomed their first child last week. After transitioning from the football field to the wrestling ring, Rawley first made a name for himself in NXT, where he wrestled for several years. He was also one of the most popular stars on the brand and even formed a likable tag team with Zack Ryder. Together, they were known as The Hype Bros.
They even made it to the main roster, where Rawley found instant success by winning the Andre The Giant Memorial Trophy in 2017. This was as good as it got for the former football player. After his split from Zack Ryder, he was relegated to chasing the 24/7 Championship. Eventually, he was released in 2021.
Shortly after this, Mojo Rawley got engaged to his longtime girlfriend, Grace Tracy, in 2022. The couple finally tied the knot on October 17, 2022. Nowadays, Mojo has been working as a co-host for TMZ Sports on FS1.
TMZ broke the news that Mojo Rawley and his wife Grace just had their first baby, Nova Rylee Muhtadi. The child was born on November 29 at 12:28 PM and weighed 7 pounds and 7 ounces. It was also reported that the newborn baby is in good health.
Mojo Rawley disclosed details of his first WWE contract
After transitioning from football to wrestling, Mojo Rawley had to start at the bottom and learn the trade in NXT. Before becoming a household name, he spent several years with the brand. Since he was starting his career from scratch, his contract also reflected that.
During an appearance on Mandy Rose and Tino Sabbatelli's podcast, Power Alphas, Rawley disclosed that he could've made $400,000 to $500,000 a year in football, but since he was starting over in wrestling, his first contract was $39,000 a year.
"I spent my entire career to make it to football, I got to that level, I would’ve been compensated as such. I would have been making somewhere in the neighborhood of [$400,000 to $500,000] a year with football, if I made the team, which those are big ifs. I had the opportunity to come to WWE, making $39,000 a year, started from scratch in an industry that I had only watched on TV and had done nothing in," Mojo recalled.
It's good to hear that Mojo Rawley's personal life is going well, and we send our congratulations to him, his wife, and their first baby.
