Congratulations are in order as former WWE Superstar Mojo Rawley has a major reason to celebrate. The seven-time 24/7 Champion was a part of the Stamford-based company for nearly a decade.

The 38-year-old joined the global juggernaut in 2012. After spending the early years of his career at NXT, he was drafted to the main roster in 2016. Unfortunately, Rawley was released from his contract in April 2021 after being absent from television for nearly ten months.

Mojo Rawley and his wife Grace took to Instagram earlier today to announce that the couple is expecting their first child in November later this year. The two shared a series of pictures of themselves, with Grace flaunting her baby bump.

Mojo Rawley shares details about his first WWE contract

Mojo Rawley used to be an American Football player before he opted to become a professional wrestler. Earlier this year, the former Andre The Giant Memorial winner opened up about how much he earned after signing his first WWE contract.

While speaking on the Power Alphas podcast, Rawley revealed how he got an opportunity in professional wrestling. He claimed that his first deal with the Stamford-based company was worth $39,000 a year. Rawley added he would have earned a lot more had continued with football and got signed by a team:

"I wasn't sure what I wanted to do, but I had this opportunity to check out what was going on with WWE because the Gronkowski brothers were some of my best friends, and their dad was college roommates with Mike Rotunda. They made a phone call. We talked to Mike, [and] he set up an interview tryout thing. That was it. I got the offer, and I left football to come to wrestling. I spent my entire career to make it to football, I got to that level, I would’ve been compensated as such. I would have been making somewhere in the neighborhood of [$400,000 to $500,000] a year with football if I made the team, which those are big ifs. I had the opportunity to come to WWE, making $39,000 a year, started from scratch in an industry that I had only watched on TV and had done nothing in," he said. [H/T: Ringside News]

Mojo Rawley has not entered the squared circle since his departure from the global juggernaut. It remains to be seen if he will return to in-ring action ever again.
