Former wrestling writer Vince Russo recently discussed if he would ever return to the WWE. Russo was part of the production team during the Attitude Era.

Russo started as a writer for WWE magazine. During the late 90s, he rose the ranks and became head writer for the company. The veteran writer also had prominent stints in other wrestling companies such as WCW and TNA.

This week on Writing with Russo, the former writer mentioned that it would be great for the company if he could strike a deal to appear on NXT or the main roster. However, Russo felt money was not the only factor, and his presence with the wrestling juggernaut wouldn't do much for his brand:

"Now don't get me wrong. If I was able to go mainstream in NXT or WWE, bro, it would be great for the brand. Absolutely great for the brand. But that is not enough for me to do. For me to go back into that world, the exposure it would give Russo's Brand, it would not be enough." [From 02:24 to 02:50]

Several wrestling personalities such as William Regal and Eric Bischoff have been part of the NXT team in the past. Others like Jim Cornette have also made WWE appearances years after parting ways with the company.

It will be interesting to see if Vince Russo ever finds his way into WWE programming in the future.
