Former WWE head writer Vince Russo recently responded to some personal shots fired by Hall of Famer Rikishi. The legendary wrestler was irked with Russo after his comments on Jey Uso winning the Intercontinental Championship.
Russo stirred up some controversy after voicing his opinion on Jey delivering an emotional promo after winning the Intercontinental Title. He claimed the championship was just a "prop" and there was nothing to get choked up about.
Rikishi did not take kindly to these comments about his son and called out the former writer for disrespecting the Anoa'i-Fatu family. He even challenged the veteran writer to a fight.
On Sportskeeda Wrestling's Legion of RAW, Vince Russo responded to the Hall of Famer. The 63-year-old claimed he had no issues with Jey or Rikishi, and he was critiquing the show as a viewer. Russo added that he was shocked to see the Samoan legend take personal shots at him.

"I felt Rikishi got real personal. I didn't make anything personal with Jey Uso. None of it was personal. When you make it personal it's kinda like, 'Really? You gotta get all personal because Vince Russo had an opinion?' Okay." [From 13:45 onwards]
Despite Vince Russo's comments, Jey Uso is one of the most popular stars on the WWE roster, with fans firmly behind him.
Jey is currently in a feud with former champion Bron Breakker. Meanwhile, WWE has also hinted that Main Event Jey might return to The Bloodline storyline after some segments on RAW this week, where Jimmy Uso was trying to convince him to help Roman Reigns.
