WWE Superstar Cora Jade is currently on a hiatus following an unfortunate injury. The 23-year-old recently showed off her new look on social media.

On January 12, Cora Jade tore her ACL during a championship match against the then-NXT Women's Champion Lyra Valkyria at a live event. She had to undergo surgery and is currently on her road to full recovery. Cora was reportedly expected to be out of action for seven to eight months.

The former NXT Women's Tag Team Champion recently took to Instagram Stories to share a Boomerang of herself sitting in a car. Cora could be seen wearing a black cap over her newly styled hair. She recently got her hair highlighted blonde at the front.

Cora Jade believes her time on the independent scene before moving to WWE helped her

Cora Jade debuted in WWE in 2021. However, before signing a contract with the wrestling promotion, she had already made a name for herself on the independent scene. Jade also appeared in several promotions, including TNA and AEW, before moving to the global juggernaut.

In a conversation with Nick Hausman, Cora stated that she was grateful for her time in the Indies as it helped her get to the Stamford-based company. She claimed that she wanted to experience the indie scene similar to several top superstars like CM Punk, Jon Moxley, and Daniel Bryan. However, she pointed out that her ultimate goal was always WWE:

"I feel like it definitely helped me, and I'm so grateful for all my time on the indies. I feel like I got to work with a lot of people and a lot of people helped me get here. And I feel I wanted the indie experience. Obviously WWE was always my goal, my end goal, but I grew up watching CM Punk, Jon Moxley, Daniel Bryan, all these people who came up through the indies. So I always wanted that indie experience and I wanted to work my way up, work through all these different companies. So I think it did help me a lot. And there's a lot of things I still take with me to this day that I learned on the indies. So I'm very grateful for that," she said.

Cora Jade tore her ACL merely a month after returning from injury after five months. It remains to be seen how long she will take before making her return this time around.
