What is next for Corey Graves in WWE?

Corey Graves apparently had to work about as much as any other superstar who made it to WWE to get in the company, according to his comments.

The 39-year-old veteran had quite a good start in NXT, even winning the tag team titles with Adrian Neville (now known as PAC in AEW). However, an injury forced him to retire early in 2014, after which he transitioned to the role of a pre-show panelist and later became a commentator on the main roster.

Speaking with Sportskeeda's Bill Apter, Corey explained how he got to his current role.

"I did the independents like everybody. I was regular in this arena, I wrestled here a million different times for EPW, and CZW a few times I think. I started at the ground up and I kept grinding and grinding, travelled internationally, and finally got my foot in the door at WWE, and then the story from there everyone is familiar with. I got hurt, and it turned out to be a bit of a blessing in disguise because hopefully I can do this for a long time," said Graves. [From 01:27 onwards]

Corey Graves has explained his additional responsibilities in WWE

Graves has apparently taken on some unofficial responsibilities in the Stamford-based promotion.

During the same interview with Bill Apter, the 39-year-old stated that he has taken responsibilities in television studio and producing:

"I have kind of unofficially taken on some responsibilities in the television studio, and as far as producing little bits and pieces. I don’t have an official role doing any of that, but I kind of get to lend my expertise. or opinion at least on a lot of different things. ” [From 01:00 to 01:16]

As of now, it remains to be seen what is next for him down the line in WWE.
