A top AEW star once told Kofi Kingston that the latter was wasting his career with Big E and Xavier Woods. The personality being talked about here would be none other than Paul Wight, formerly known as the Big Show.
Kofi Kingston, Big E, and Xavier Woods did not have much going on for them before they formed The New Day. While Kofi was stuck in the mid-card, the other two stars' positioning was even worse.
In a new video on WWE's official YouTube channel, Big E and Xavier revealed that the Big Show told Kofi that he was wasting his career with the duo. To make matters worse, The World's Largest Athlete said this to Kingston right within earshot of Big E and Woods:
"We were hearing stories in the writer's room of us being laughed at, anytime our names were brought up. We always mentioned Big Show because he came back and apologized. But in front of me and Woods, he pulled Kofi aside and said, 'What are you doing with these guys? You're wasting your career.' We're within earshot. Within earshot. Him coming back and saying, 'Hey, guys, I was wrong.' But a lot of people did not do that." [5:42 - 6:04]

Kofi Kingston realized his dream of becoming WWE Champion with Big E and Xavier Woods' help
Kofi Kingston was one of the most talked about personalities in pro wrestling on the Road to WrestleMania 35 in 2019. The 43-year-old star had suddenly become a fan-favorite and people wanted nothing but to see him win the WWE Championship at The Grandest Stage of Them All.
Mere days before WrestleMania 35, Big E and Xavier Woods won a Tag Team Gauntlet Match, thus ensuring that Kofi would compete for the top title at The Show of Shows. At the big event, Kingston defeated Daniel Bryan, now known as Bryan Danielson, to win the WWE Championship for the first time in his career. He then lost the belt to Brock Lesnar on SmackDown months later.
