Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Cody Rhodes recently spoke about the idea of becoming a "Paul Heyman Guy."
At the WrestleMania XL premium live event, Roman Reigns put his Undisputed WWE Universal Championship in line against The American Nightmare. The bout saw some of the biggest names of the industry including The Rock, John Cena, and The Undertaker. It was also full of interferences from Jimmy Uso, Jey Uso, Solo Sikoa, and Seth Rollins.
Eventually, with the assistance of The Cenation Leader, The Phenom, Jey Uso, and Rollins, Rhodes managed to earn the victory, becoming the new Undisputed WWE Universal Champion in the process.
While speaking in an interview on the SI Media Podcast, The American Nightmare revealed his desire to become Heyman's guy in another lifetime. He also stated that he would have been the best guy to be managed by The Wiseman:
"In another lifetime, I probably would have made the best Paul Heyman Guy...," said Rhodes. (H/T- Wrestle Features)
Bill Apter opened up on his opinion on Paul Heyman managing Damian Priest
WWE veteran Bill Apter recently opened up on Heyman managing newly crowned WWE Heavyweight Champion, Damian Priest.
While speaking in an interview on Sportskeeda Wrestling UnSKripted, Apter stated that Heyman managing The Archer of Infamy right now would make a lot of sense, and would also help the latter upgrade in the business.
He further clarified that although Priest is an incredible athlete, being managed by The Wiseman would put him in the limelight:
"What I would like to see, we are talking hypothetically, right now with all the trouble going on with the Bloodline, I would like to see Paul Heyman align himself with Damian Priest at this point. I think it would make Priest a much stronger champion, a much stronger heel champion. He has got it; he's there, but I still think he needs a little step up higher, and I think Paul Heyman with him would be really excellent." [16:23 onwards]
It would be quite interesting to see what plans WWE has going forward for Rhodes in the near future.
