Current WWE champion fires shots at Bayley; backs Tiffany Stratton to win Money in the Bank

A popular superstar recently fired shots at WWE Women's Champion Bayley. The name in question, Grayson Waller, also backed Tiffany Stratton to win the Women's Money in the Bank ladder match on Saturday in a recent social media update.

Bayley and Tiffany Stratton locked horns in a triple-threat match for the Women's Championship at Backlash: France. The Role Model pinned Naomi, the third participant, to retain her title. She followed her win with another successful title defense at Clash at the Castle: Scotland, where she defeated Piper Niven.

Bayley is not scheduled to take the ring at the upcoming Money In The Bank Premium Live Event. Tiffany Stratton, on the other hand, will compete for the Women's Money In The Bank contract in a Six-Woman ladder match, which also features IYO SKY, Chelsea Gree, Naomi, Lyra Valkyria, and Zoey Stark. The Buff Barbie defeated Jade Cargill and Candice LeRae in the Money In The Bank qualifier triple-threat match.

Ahead of the SmackDown before Money In The Bank, Grayson Waller took to Instagram to share a video of his visit to a Walmart. The 34-year-old stopped by the toy section to have a look at action figures of several WWE Superstars. Two of those superstars happened to be Bayley and Tiffany Stratton. Waller referred to the former as a "lesser champion" while the other as "the next MITB winner:"

"Look at that. Bayley, it's nice for them to have the lesser champions on show as well. That's always a good thing. Whoaa! Look at this. Fresh Kurt Angle. You know, maybe one day, you know, Kurt keeps working, he can be as a good wrestler as Grayson Waller[laughs]. We've also got Sami Zayn, [and] Kane. Next Money in the Bank [winner], Tiffany Stratton here too," he said.

Grayson Waller will be in action tonight on WWE SmackDown

Grayson Waller and his tag team partner Austin Theory won the WWE Tag Team Championships in the Six-Pack ladder match at WrestleMania XL. After the win at The Showcase of Immortals, A-Town Down Under has defended the title only once on television. The duo defeated The Street Profits to retain the championship gold on the May 3 edition of Friday Night SmackDown.

Theory and Waller will put the WWE Tag Team Championships on the line tonight on the blue brand against DIY. The two tag teams have been involved in a rivalry for a while now. It will also be DIY's first championship match after getting drafted to SmackDown.

The World Tag Team Titles recently changed hands as Finn Balor and JD McDonagh defeated Awesome Truth to become the new champions. It will be interesting to see if the other set of tag team titles also have the same fate.
