Afa Anoa'i Jr. recently praised the romance storyline between Rhea Ripley and Jey Uso on the red brand.
Uso and Ripley have been flirting for a while now on WWE television. Ripley shared a selfie today sporting a "Yeet" shirt to show her support for the new Intercontinental Champion. Main Event Jey defeated Bron Breakker in the main event of last night's RAW to capture the title.
In an exclusive interview with Sportskeeda Wrestling, Afa shared his thoughts on the storyline between Uso and Ripley. Anoa'i Jr. noted that he loved the storyline, and claimed that the storyline was needed to provide a distraction for Ripley's storyline with The Judgment Day's Dominik Mysterio.
"I love it. I love it. I feel like it's needed. Kind of that, oddball, distraction in the Dom story, so it's needed right now, I feel. And I'm highly entertained by it. I like where it's going," Afa Anoa'i, Jr. said.
Dominik Mysterio will be suspended above the ring in a shark cage during the Women's World Championship match between Rhea Ripley and Liv Morgan next month at WWE Bad Blood.
