WWE Superstars often go the distance to entertain fans which many times leaves them with long-term injuries. The same was the case with the current World Tag Team Champion Ivar as he was sidelined for several months due to a career-threatening injury. While the War Raiders star is back in action, he recently revealed that he has permanent nerve damage.
Both Erik and Ivar were away from WWE programming for a long time. The latter suffered a neck injury earlier this year which kept him on the shelf for several months. However, he made his return along with Erik, and the duo even managed to win the World Tag Team Championship.
During a recent interview with Chris Van Vliet, Ivar revealed that while he's doing pretty good now, he does have permanent nerve damage and nerve pain in his hand:
“So I’m pretty good now. To be fair, I do have permanent nerve damage and nerve pain in my hands, and that will never go away. That’s something I live with. But as far as everything else, I got most of my mobility back to my neck. It’s a little stiff now because I have another herniation, but I still have very good range of motion. I credit that to yoga pretty much. Then all my strength is returned to my arm, so I have no problems there, so it’s really just the nerve pain right now from the original injury that I have that’s permanent. But I have good days and bad days. Some days I can really feel it goes down my arm a little bit, and some days I can’t feel it all, kind of all depends. But quality of life, I feel pretty good.”

Erik and Ivar formed a new alliance on WWE RAW
Erik and Ivar recently won the World Tag Team Championship thanks to an assist from Damian Priest who prevented Finn Balor from using a steel chair. The duo returned the favor on WWE RAW this week as they helped the Archer of Infamy while he was outnumbered against the Judgment Day.
The War Raiders will join forces with the former World Heavyweight Champion on the red brand next week to take on Finn Balor, JD McDonagh, and Dominik Mysterio in a six-man tag team match.
The win against Finn Balor and JD McDonagh was the War Raiders' second tag title win on the WWE main roster. The duo have also won championships in other promotions.
