It seems that there will be a number of high-profile WWE retirements in 2025 since John Cena and Goldberg have already announced that they will hang up their boots next year.
Following on from that trend, former NXT UK Women's Champion Meiko Satomura has announced that her final wrestling match will take place on April 29th, 2025.
Satomura took to Instagram to announce that she would be part of the Sendai Girls show on April 29th, which takes place 30 years after her debut on April 15, 1995.

Satomura is respected as a veteran of the sport, and despite only having a short spell in NXT, she was one of the most memorable NXT Women's Champions.
Satomura hasn't appeared on TV in 2024, and it seems that the former champion has been able to work for promotions outside of the company while not being used. Meiko was one of a handful of stars who were moved over to NXT when NXT UK closed its doors in 2022.
Satomura has since made more than a handful of appearances for the NXT brand but hasn't been featured in almost 12 months.
There are many WWE Superstars set to retire in 2025
Goldberg and John Cena will walk away from the wrestling ring in 2025, but it seems that Satomura will be the only active WWE star retiring next year.
While there are many stars who have opened up about retirement in recent months, including AJ Styles and Seth Rollins, it seems that the company already has a tour to organize for John Cena, while Goldberg's farewell match against Gunther seems to have already been planned.
It's unclear if WWE will allow Meiko to say farewell on NXT since she is still considered to be an active star despite her last appearance coming in the fall of 2023.
