Dakota Kai's career flourished after forming Damage CTRL with IYO SKY and Bayley. She captured the Women's Tag Team Championship along with SKY. Sadly, an injury derailed her as she was kept out of the ring. However, after returning to the group, she made some changes by adding new members and removing Bayley.
Despite the group looking stronger than ever, things haven't gone their way since WrestleMania XL, leading to some frustration among its members. IYO also threw a tantrum backstage and said that things needed to change in the group. SKY finally redeemed herself by qualifying for Money in the Bank.
