Damian Priest sends message to major WWE star ahead of confrontation on RAW

World Heavyweight Champion Damian Priest has delivered a message ahead of his confrontation with a major WWE Superstar tonight on RAW. The Archer of Infamy escaped Money in the Bank as champion after CM Punk foiled Drew McIntyre's MITB cash in attempt.

Damian Priest is set to battle Braun Strowman in a singles match tonight on RAW, but will also be having a face-to-face with his SummerSlam opponent. Gunther has earned the right to challenge for the World Heavyweight Championship after winning the King of the Ring Tournament. The two stars are set for a confrontation tonight and Priest has shared a message as he arrived at tonight's show.

"Woah, stop. Anything I have to say, I'm going to say to Gunther's face tonight in the ring," he said.

Gunther has not been featured on WWE RAW in recent weeks but has noted that there was no reason for him to be on television as he has already secured a title match at SummerSlam.

Bill Apter refers to Damian Priest as a "polite world champion" in WWE

Wrestling veteran Bill Apter has shared his thoughts on Damian Priest as World Heavyweight Champion and praised him for his demeanor.

Speaking on a recent edition of Sportskeeda Wrestling's UnSKripted show, Apter claimed Priest was bringing an aura to the World Heavyweight Championship. He added that he enjoys Priest's character on WWE RAW and is believable as a champion.

"Damian Priest is so, such a polite world champion. He is actually, when I am looking at him, he is bringing an aura of World Champion to that belt. I love how he doesn't go crazy, and he is not yelling and screaming you know about the championship and all this. He is very cool and mature... I like what his character is, is that he is reasonable, he is polite and he is just holds that World Championship like a champion." [From 36:12 onwards]

The 41-year-old has also informed Seth Rollins that he can have another shot at the title if he defeats Gunther at WWE SummerSlam. It will be interesting to see if The Judgment Day member can defeat The Ring General at the premium live event next month.
