A WWE executive has provided details on whether the company will continue doing international premium live events next year due to the Netflix deal. In the US, RAW will move to the streaming service next month, while international viewers can stream other shows, including PLEs.
Numerous events have been held outside North America each year since Triple H came to power. This year's Elimination Chamber took place in Australia, Backlash was held in France, Clash at the Castle in Scotland, and Bash in Berlin emanated from Germany. Plus, King & Queen of the Ring and Crown Jewel took place in Saudi Arabia.
During a recent interview on the Sports Business Journal Sports Media podcast, WWE Executive VP of Talent Relations and Head of Communications Chris Legentil stated that, in 2025, more international PLEs will be held as part of the company's partnership with Netflix.
“This year alone, we did more than half our (premium live events) outside the U.S. Look for more of that when we’re in partnership with Netflix because we’re going to be working with them hand-in-hand to select locations across the world where we can grow our audience and hopefully gain some subscribers for them," said Chris Legentil.
