Dominik Mysterio breaks character; mentions Roman Reigns in emotional comment

WWE's top heel, Dominik Mysterio, broke kayfabe in a new interview and heaped big praise on Roman Reigns and a few others. Dom acknowledged how he received help and guidance from the stars in question when he was a newbie on the main roster.

In 2021, Dominik, Rey Mysterio, and John Cena teamed up on multiple occasions at WWE shows, with the trio taking on The Bloodline. Interestingly, the babyfaces won every single match.

In an interview on Busted Open, Dominik Mysterio shared a heartfelt comment about Roman Reigns and others

"Honestly, it was really difficult. But at the end of the day I had the right people next to me, guiding me, helping me throughout this whole process. Guys like Roman Reigns, guys like John Cena, guys like The Usos. Just helping me and guiding me through this."

He recalled how the superstars guided him back then:

"When I first started the live events, I was... I've said this a million times, but tagging with my dad and John Cena against Roman and The Usos for an entire summer leading up to Roman and John Cena, that was huge for me. I had no business being in the ring with those guys and still, they took the time to help me, guide me, and just move me in a certain direction where it would help me and benefit me in the long run." Dominik Mysterio hasn't been a good guy for a long time now

The last time Dominik was a babyface was in mid-2022. That changed at WWE Clash at the Castle, where Dominik turned on Edge and his father, Rey Mysterio.

Dirty Dom went on to join The Judgment Day, and the rest is history. It's been over two years since the heel turn, and Dominik Mysterio is one of the biggest names in WWE today.
