Dominik Mysterio is a third-generation wrestler and the son of WWE Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio. However, it seems like The Judgment Day member is questioning whether Rey is even his real father.
The rivalry between father and son has been going on for around two years. It started when Dominik attacked Rey at Clash at the Castle in 2022. During the height of the storyline, the possibility of Eddie Guerrero being the "real" father of Dom was also brought up.
It was a callback to the old storyline between Eddie Guerrero and Rey Mysterio battling for Dom's custody in a Ladder Match at SummerSlam. The 27-year-old recently joked about questioning his background in an appearance on Logan Paul's Impaulsive podcast. He even insinuated, in character, that doesn't even know who his real father was.
"I mean, I don't know if I identify as Eddie Guerrero being my father, but he definitely had a huge influence. I question it for sure, I mean, I question my mother at this point. Because I don't know what's happening in the '90s, you know? And apparently, my dad was gone all the time," Dominik said. [H/T: Wrestling Inc.]

Dominik Mysterio recalls original plans for The Custody of Dominik Ladder Match at SummerSlam 2005
In the same appearance on the Impaulsive podcast, Dominik Mysterio recalled the original plans for the custody match between Rey Mysterio and Eddie Guerrero. One of the pitches was putting an eight-year-old Dom in a cage or hanging him above the ring with a harness.
"They wanted to hang me from a cage. Not even from a cage, they wanted to just actually hang me. Like on a waist thing and just like have me dangle there," Dominik said.
Dom also discussed having problems separating reality from what was scripted back then because he was still very young. In the end, Rey and Eddie fought in a Ladder Match with a briefcase containing the custody papers hanging in the air instead of Dom himself.
