WWE recently wrapped up one of its 'Big Four' PLEs and the absence of Cody Rhodes certainly didn't go down well with many pundits, including Vince Russo.

Cody Rhodes has been embroiled in a feud with Kevin Owens and the initial expectation was for their match to feature at Survivor Series. WWE, however, made the call not to book their Undisputed WWE Title bout at Survivor Series and Vince Russo was shocked by the decision.

The former WWE head writer minced no words as he called out Triple H's apparent weak booking. Vince Russo helmed the creative team during the Attitude Era and could not have imagined a scenario where he created a match card for Survivor Series without the promotion's top champion.

Russo said during the latest edition of Sportskeeda Wrestling's Legion of RAW that Vince McMahon would have never let it happen and believed keeping Rhodes away from a massive event was an example of "crappy booking" from WWE.

A former WWE writer just went after JBL for his comments HERE

"Don't tell me Triple H is a great booker when you have one of the big four and you don't even have your champion defending the title. That's crappy booking. That's crappy. I couldn't imagine me presenting a Survivor Series card to Vince McMahon and the WWE title is not defended. I couldn't even imagine that." [From 33:00 onwards]

While fans didn't see the high-profile world title showdown at Survivor Series, Cody Rhodes is scheduled to defend his championship against Kevin Owens at Saturday Night's Main Event on December 14.
