Drew McIntyre may have spoken up briefly on social media upon his WWE RAW return last week, but he went into more depth this week. The star revealed why he took out Jey Uso and Sami Zayn.

Last week, Jey Uso was taken out backstage on RAW, with Sami Zayn assuming that Seth Rollins was the one who did it due to his words earlier in the night. As it turned out, it was Drew McIntyre who returned and attacked him. As a result, Jey Uso wasn't even medically cleared this week.

However, Sami Zayn was and he got a match against McIntyre for Saturday Night's Main Event. Drew McIntyre, in a video package, said he targeted Jey Uso and Sami Zayn because they re-aligned with his rival Roman Reigns.

"Then I turned on Survivor Series and I saw Roman Reigns standing side by side with CM Punk and who was by their side? Sami, Jimmy, and Jey. Their stupid fingers in the air. After everything, Roman just snaps his fingers, they put their tail between their legs. They run right by his side. At least CM Punk took a bribe, they all sold out for absolutely nothing. That's when I knew I had to come back. That's when I knew I was gonna take out Sami. That's when I knew I was gonna take out Jey Uso."

Roman Reigns is, of course, the reason why McIntyre didn't become World Champion in 2022. However, in 2024, it was CM Punk and that feud was settled.

After Sami Zayn issued a face-to-face apology to Seth Rollins for accusing him of attacking McIntyre. The Scotsman went on to attack Sami Zayn once again, leading to him getting ejected from the arena by Adam Pearce.

Sami Zayn hit back at McIntyre backstage in Gorilla Position.
