WWE Superstar Drew McIntyre’s annoyance is only growing week after week. The Scottish Psychopath was initially seen keeping his cool while trying to provoke a recently medically cleared CM Punk. However, after the July 22, 2024 episode of Monday Night RAW ended, McIntyre frustratedly called out Adam Pearce’s wild card for his SummerSlam match.

The RAW General Manager was seen desperately trying to calm an agitated CM Punk down and stopping McIntyre from provoking him. But, his job was made easy when he called Seth Rollins to the arena. Pearce declared that The Visionary would be the special guest referee of the Punk versus McIntyre match at SummerSlam.

Rollins came in, laughing in the face of McIntyre and Punk, letting them know that he controls the fate of the match. This baffled the former Chosen One who slandered the former World Heavyweight Champion via a tweet on X.

“Spotlight Junkie Seth Rollins stay out of a hot feud challenge * IMPOSSIBLE *,” wrote McIntyre.

The Scottish Warrior was later seen backstage with Adam Pearce where he questioned the reason for appointing Rollins as the referee. The RAW GM let Drew McIntyre know that this was his own doing since no referee wanted to officiate a match involving him. Interestingly, while McIntyre is on edge regarding The Architects’ involvement in the match, it could possibly be his key to victory against Punk.

Seth Rollins may screw CM Punk over and side with Drew McIntyre

Seth Rollins has animosity with both CM Punk and Drew McIntyre. However, his feud with the Scotsman is very shallow when compared to that with Punk. The Visionary has more severe differences with the Straight Edge Superstar who was once his hero.

Thus, between the two, if Rollins takes sides, McIntyre has a bigger chance of being the beneficiary of his support. The Scottish Warrior has also shown a tendency to win by either hook or crook. He didn’t shy away from leveraging the collateral damage left by Logan Paul at Elimination Chamber when he pinned Randy Orton to advance to WrestleMania XL.

So far, Punk versus McIntyre isn’t official and Pearce has said he would only sanction the match if both wrestlers kept their hands off each other. It will be interesting to see all three of these rivals be in the same ring at SummerSlam with Rollins in control of everything.
