Drew McIntyre made to look like a "freaking idiot," WWE veteran furious with the star's current booking (Exclusive)

Former WWE head writer Vince Russo is frustrated with Drew McIntyre losing big matches. The Scotsman was in action against Jey Uso this week on RAW.

Jey Uso had never defeated Drew McIntyre in a singles contest heading into this week's showdown. However, that stat changed on RAW, as Jey bested the former WWE Champion. Main Event Jey even kicked out of a Claymore and then rolled up his opponent in a crucifix pin for the win.

On Sportskeeda Wrestling's Legion of RAW, Vince Russo expressed frustration over Drew McIntyre's booking. The veteran acknowledged the storyline development but felt it was time for McIntyre to secure some major wins.

"Jey Uso and Drew, man. At what point does Drew get something? I understand the angle, I understand the gimmick. He's gotta win one time. Like at what point does Drew get something?"

Russo even pointed out that WWE was not protecting McIntyre on commentary with Michael Cole announcing that Jey Uso fooled The Scottish Warrior with the quick pin.

"I don't think it's to protect Drew because Michael Cole made sure he pointed out that Jey su**ered him in. You're not protecting him by saying he's a freaking idiot." [From 1:04:33 onwards]

Drew McIntyre was irate with the result of the match. However, he could not get his hands on Jey, as the latter was already out of the ring celebrating his win. It will be interesting to see how The Scottish Warrior gets his revenge on Jey in the coming weeks.
