WWE Superstar Drew McIntyre has emerged as a highly vengeful and devastating heel in the company. The Scottish Psychopath broke CM Punk’s fan-made bracelet on this week’s RAW and hit him with a vicious Claymore. McIntyre attacked Punk again as the latter was being taken to an ambulance. Notably, the Scotsman recently said that he is at the top of his game at this point in his career.
Drew McIntyre and several other top stars have been very happy with the creative management of their characters. Notably, The Scottish Warrior appeared in the latest episode of Chris Van Vliet’s Insight podcast and talked about his current role. The host asked McIntyre if he thought he was doing the best work in his career, and the Scotsman noted that he was.
“Yes. Because I'm having the most fun.”
Interestingly, The Scottish Psychopath also stated that the creative management of WWE has a big hand behind this statement. Moreover, he said that almost everyone is benefiting from the new creative team’s decisions under Triple H.
“It's all across the board. Just with the new management coming in. New creative process. Hunter kind of leading the ship and giving a lot of people, basically everybody, but specifically the ones that been there for a minute. The chance to 'hey, if you've got more to show then show it, and this is your chance. There's no wrong answers and go for it and if it fails it's on you.'” [From 01:18 to 01:55]
Drew McIntyre believes that Monday Night RAW has become easier to watch now
Speaking in the same interview, Drew McIntyre also noted how every wrestler is playing a great character on the red brand. He also remarked that Monday Night RAW has become very smooth and easy to consume for the fans given its long duration. Moreover, he also added that WWE’s creative team has basically made pro wrestling very healthy.
“It's easy and it's awesome and to see it across the board not just for myself. Just how many characters have stepped up and standing out right now and RAW is a lot easier to watch. Three hours is still a lot but it's a lot easier to digest these days. The show flows so well. There's so many popular characters. It's amazing just to see wrestling so healthy and everybody thriving.” [From 02:13 to 02:34]
The CM Punk vs. Drew McIntyre feud seemed to have come to a close when the former said he was going after Gunther next. However, The Scottish Psychopath has made it clear that they’re not done unless he says so. It would be interesting to see what lies in the next phase of this bitter and personal clash between the two superstars.
