WWE Superstar Drew McIntyre sent Adam Pearce in a fit of rage on this week’s episode of Monday Night RAW when he attacked CM Punk. While The Scottish Psychopath has reignited his war with The Second City Saint after a loss at Bash in Berlin, he is also busy with a Hollywood project. Interestingly, he recently revealed how a six-time WWE Champion helped him get a part in the film.
Drew McIntyre is starring in J. J. Perry’s 'The Killer’s Game' alongside two-time WWE Champion and four-time WWE Heavyweight Champion Batista. The film is set to release on September 13, 2024. Speaking about the movie with Chris Van Vliet of the Insight podcast, McIntyre revealed how The Animal helped him get the role.
“J. J. Perry had said, ‘I've got this idea for this Scottish brothers, the Mackenzie brothers. I have one of them. The other one, I just want to be, you know, the big, imposing guy that can feasibly and realistically beat you up. I just want them to have these thick Scottish accents and be just wild, kind of drinking party badasses that are somewhat unintelligible because of their thick accents.’ And Dave (Batista) basically said, I actually know that guy, he exists.’ He called me,” said McIntyre. Drew McIntyre praises WWE’s creative management
Speaking in the same interview, Drew McIntyre also reflected on how he is currently doing the best in his pro wrestling career. He gave the credit for this to the new creative management led by Triple H.
“It's all across the board. Just with the new management coming in. New creative process. Hunter kind of leading the ship and giving a lot of people, basically everybody, but specifically the ones that been there for a minute. The chance to 'hey, if you've got more to show then show it, and this is your chance. There's no wrong answers and go for it and if it fails it's on you.'”
Interestingly, The Scottish Psychopath also noted that these changes are not just bringing the best out of wrestlers, but are also giving value to the fans. He said that despite being a three-hour-long show, WWE RAW has become very consumable for the audience.
