Drew McIntyre recently shared a surprising reason as to why he no longer cares about a WWE World Championship. The Scottish Warrior returned on the December 2 episode of WWE RAW and has been targeting the OG Bloodline since.
In an interview with The Ringer, McIntyre opened up about why he was no longer focused on becoming the champion. The veteran admitted that he never thought he would reach this point, but noted that he had gotten more of a reaction from WWE fans in recent times than he ever had throughout his career. The former World Heavyweight Champion added that 2024 was an emotional roller coaster and that is what the business was all about.
“I never thought it’d be a point in my career where I said, ‘Currently, I don’t care about the world title. I don’t care about my legacy like I used to, because inevitably, people are just going to forget. I got more of an emotional response from anybody [than] I’ve ever gotten in my entire career, be it on TV, online, to live crowds. It’s been an emotional roller coaster for Drew McIntyre this year, and in the end, that’s what our industry is all about, is making you feel," he said. [H/T: The Ringer]

Veteran praises WWE star Drew McIntyre as a person
Independent wrestler Vinny Pacifico recently praised Drew McIntyre as a human being and noted that the latter helped him back in the day.
Speaking on Sportskeeda Wrestling's UnSKripted with Dr. Chris Featherstone and Bill Apter, Pacifico noted that he spoke with McIntyre at a Warriors of Wrestling event in 2015. The veteran shared that the RAW Superstar was very giving of his time and offered him helpful advice.
"It was a really fun debut. Marq Quen was in there, Drew McIntyre was in there as well," he said. "Great guy. After the show, he talked to me. He's a wonderful person. Great guy. So giving of his time. That's something that I appreciate. They don't have to do anything for us, the veterans. They don't have to give us advice, they don't have to do these things. But they go out of their way and do it." [From 7:25 onwards]
