Drew McIntyre made his WWE in-ring return at this year's Saturday Night's Main Event. He collided with Sami Zayn in a singles match and scored another victory over the WWE star.
The Scottish Warrior ran into a post during the bout, and Sami tried to hit him with the Helluva Kick but ran into a boot from the two-time WWE Champion. Drew nailed his opponent with a spinebuster and got a two-count. He then hit a sit-out powerbomb for another nearfall.
Drew McIntyre tried to hit Sami Zayn with a White Noise off the turnbuckles, but the latter reversed it into a sunset flip powerbomb for a two-count. The Canadian star tried to do a Blue Thunderbomb but couldn't lift the Scottish Warrior. Drew nailed him with a Glasgow Kiss and tried to do a Claymore, but only for him to run into a kick.
Sami Zayn finally hit the Blue Thunderbomb but only got a two-count. He tried to go for the Helluva Kick, but Drew rolled out of the ring. Sami followed him outside, but McIntyre went back into the ring. When Zayn re-entered the ring, he got hit with a Claymore. Drew McIntyre pinned him and won the match. He is currently undefeated in singles matches against Sami Zayn.
