Drew McIntyre did not have the weekend he would have hoped for as he failed to defeat CM Punk at WWE Bad Blood. The former World Heavyweight Champion reflected on the gruesome match with a three-word message on social media.
McIntyre and Punk have been embroiled in a feud since the start of the year. After winning a match each, the duo entered the Hell in a Cell to determine the winner of this brutal rivalry. While the Scottish Warrior took Punk to his limits, The Best in the World left the unforgiving structure as the winner.
Drew McIntyre suffered a brutal beatdown in the match and was legitimately busted open, as per reports. The Scottish Warrior required 16 staples to the head after getting hit by a metal toolbox. He showed the aftermath of the match by posting a series of bloody pictures and injury marks along with a three-word message on X (fka Twitter). You can check out his post by clicking here.
"I saw red," he wrote.

Drew McIntyre and CM Punk put on one of the greatest rivalries in WWE history
The feud between CM Punk and Drew McIntyre started earlier this year after the latter took credit for putting The Best in the World on the shelf. While Punk was sidelined for several months, he continued to make appearances on WWE programming and even cost McIntyre the World Heavyweight Championship on multiple occasions.
CM Punk was cleared for action at SummerSlam where he lost to McIntyre. However, The Second City Saint got a win back at Bash in Berlin when he defeated The Scottish Warrior in a Strap Match. Punk also took home the bragging rights after Bad Blood where he got a win over Drew inside Hell in a Cell.
The Best in the World is likely to move on to the title picture as he previously indicated. However, it is still unclear what's next for Drew McIntyre. The Scottish Warrior could take a few months off to rebuild himself and return during the Royal Rumble season.
