WWE star Drew McIntyre has shared an explosive rant following his brutal attack on CM Punk this past Friday night on SmackDown. McIntyre pretended to quit the company last week to give Punk a false sense of security heading into his appearance on the blue brand.

Punk appeared on last Friday's WWE SmackDown in Chicago and got a tremendous reaction from the crowd. He was about to be attacked by The Bloodline but Cody Rhodes made the save. However, Drew McIntyre later assaulted him backstage and then laid the veteran out on the entrance ramp as the crowd booed.

The Second City Saint cost McIntyre his chance to win the World Heavyweight Championship at WWE Clash at the Castle and The Scottish Warrior is out for revenge. McIntyre shared a fiery rant against Punk today on social media and claimed the 45-year-old was Satan.

"He's Satan himself. When I'm pushed to this level I'm a justified monster. Satan's my b****, just like Phil [CM Punk]. I mean, who can stop me? And I'm in the right, I am the good guy here. Phil, you took my dreams now I'm the nightmare you're going to see every time you close those soulless eyes of yours. You might think you're Satan, when pushed I'm a f***ing psychopath. I hate you. I'm not sure I've truly hated anyone in my entire life until you. But I could take solace in the fact you're in pain, and you are suffering because of me," said McIntyre. [From 01:25 to 01:57]

McIntyre also showed off the bracelet featuring AJ Lee and Punk's dog Larry's names on it that he took from the former AEW star this past Friday night on WWE SmackDown. You can check out the full promo in the video below.

Bill Apter believes WWE fans are split in the rivalry between CM Punk and Drew McIntyre

Wrestling veteran Bill Apter recently discussed the rivalry between Drew McIntyre and CM Punk and what took place at WWE Clash at the Castle.

Punk took referee Eddie Orengo's place after he was knocked out at the premium live event. McIntyre connected with the Claymore on Damian Priest, but the Chicago native star refused to count to three. Priest was then able to win the match and retain the title.

Speaking on Sportskeeda's The Wrestling Time Machine show, Apter praised the storyline and claimed WWE fans are now split on who the heel is.

"First of all the camera angle was incredibly well done, because he [Drew] didn't know that it was CM Punk. They had the referee to the back and then when Drew went, when he saw him, the reaction was great. If you saw, and I am sure you did, when CM Punk left the ring, the fans were embracing him and yelling out. He was sitting there with the fans, 'CM Punk! CM Punk!' The love him, he can do no wrong. So this is almost like a split fan thing of who the heel is here." [From 03:43 onwards]

Drew McIntyre will be competing in a Triple Threat Money in the Bank Qualifying match against Sheamus and Ilja Dragunov next Monday night on WWE RAW. Only time will tell if Punk will show up once again to try and prevent McIntyre from winning the match.
