A few days after walking out of the Busted Open Holiday Party, Drew McIntyre did it again at Saturday Night's Main Event. McIntyre made an early exit during a backstage interview with Jackie Redmond and Peter Rosenberg.
The Scottish Psychopath opened Saturday Night's Main Event and defeated Sami Zayn following an excellent match. McIntyre hinted afterward that he was going after four more individuals, possibly Roman Reigns, Jey Uso, Jimmy Uso and CM Punk. He already ambushed Jey two weeks ago on RAW and Jimmy last Friday on SmackDown.
In a video uploaded by WWE on X (fka Twitter), Redmond and Rosenberg welcomed McIntyre, who thought that it was a live interview. The former WWE Champion had a quick rant about not saying anything important, which could be edited out, before dropping an expletive and walking away.
"I was under the impression this was live, it's not. Okay, I'll give you this much. I said I was gonna beat Sami, I beat Sami. As I said before, it's not just within WWE. I heard what (Rosenberg) had to say, it's not just the locker room, it's everywhere. I do a longform interview, you can edit me the way you want. Make me look stupid or sound like a liar, push the golden buzzer. But anyway, you want the live Drew McIntyre? Unless it's a live WWE or my social media, you don't get sh*t. Bleep me," McIntyre said. Drew McIntyre emphasized earlier this week that he would stop giving back to wrestling and would start taking things from it. He had an epiphany during his two-month hiatus and is looking to get back what is rightfully his.
Drew McIntyre walked away from the Busted Open Holiday Party
Busted Open Radio hosted its holiday party on Thursday, with plenty of guests such as Drew McIntyre. Things took a turn after McIntyre remembered what he realized during his time away from WWE. He called out all the fans, who he cared about too much in his career.
"When I leave, when I retire, I'll have accomplished everything. And it doesn't matter if you're Mark Henry, Bully Ray, Tommy Dreamer, Drew McIntyre, Stone Cold Steve Austin. When you're gone, they move on, they forget. And it sucks, but it's true. So as far as I'm concerned, when it comes to the internet, I don't give a f*ck about your opinion," McIntyre said. McIntyre then shared the clip on his X account, blaming the fans for his behavior during his appearance on the Busted Open Holiday Party.
