While WWE Money in the Bank was certainly entertaining for many, Dutch Mantell thinks a particular surprise return was missed. According to the veteran, the circumstances were perfect for bringing back the star, Roman Reigns.

Roman has been absent since his loss at WrestleMania to Cody Rhodes. After his iconic reign ended, the Bloodline was left with a void that Solo Sikoa filled. Solo also laid down the gauntlet against Roman, giving rise to speculation about the latter's return.

Speaking on Sportskeeda's SmackTalk, Dutch Mantell explained why Roman Reigns should have returned to Money in the Bank.

"We are all waiting for one thing. What is that? [Roman Reigns] and they could have damn jumped through the roof, already got a hell of a reaction, But they're waiting for Roman to come back. What a spot to be in. And now, remember, and I keep going back to this: 18 months ago, their bench was almost, you couldn't see it. Their bench was like nothing. When you think of somebody for Roman you couldn't think of anybody except Drew McIntyre... But now they have the names. They got everybody that's, even some of the guys that are not even close to main event, with a little work, you could get 'em there." [3:50 onwards]

Another WWE veteran thinks Roman Reigns should return as a babyface

With everyone waiting for the former Universal champion's return, Jim Ross has proposed that he should come back as a babyface.

Speaking on his Grilling JR podcast, the WWE veteran explained his perspective in a few words:

“My God, the table is set [for Reigns to turn babyface]. The table is set very nicely. Paul’s performance was extraordinary. You know, he’s just a special talent. I’m concerned about his size, I’m concerned about his weight. I want him to stay healthy and productive and all that good stuff. But yeah, him getting the bump through the table was pretty damn special. And he’s no spring chicken, but he did it; he got it done," Ross said.
