Roman Reigns was not present on this week's SmackDown, but WWE still managed to make it an explosive episode with a unique opening segment featuring Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman.

The Beast Incarnate was out for blood following the beatdown he took at Reigns' hands at Madison Square Garden, and he vowed to decimate The Tribal Chief. The segment ended with Brock Lesnar chasing Paul Heyman to the backstage area, where the WWE Champion fought off a few security guards before Heyman escaped in an SUV.

Dutch Mantell was a big fan of the angle, and he highlighted what it meant to the ongoing Universal title feud on the latest episode of Sportskeeda Wrestling's Smack Talk.

The wrestling legend stated that recent storyline developments have made it clear that Reigns and Lesnar are set to have a violent match at WrestleMania 38. Mantell also noted that Lesnar might have legitimately pushed a few guards during his brawl.

"No, that was a good opening. He pushed that one security guard; I thought he hurt him," said Dutch Mantell. "Then he pushed one into the light. Whatever he hit, he hit pretty hard. He ate it up, but that was good because now I think you can see Roman and Lesnar at WrestleMania; that will be a violent match because they have to. It's going to be more violent than what they just did unless they add something to it. But I don't think they need to step it up, just put them in the ring and let them go." [22:57-23:36]

Dutch Mantell admitted that he often dislikes SmackDown, but the most recent WWE offering kept him entertained throughout.

"But it was different with him, and Heyman came out there, and he took off after Heyman. They got the show moving because I usually hate SmackDown, but tonight I kind of enjoyed it because they did three brawls, and they were actually pretty good," added Mantell. [24:47-25:06]
