EC3 has wrestled for several promotions over the last few years, including the NWA, Ring of Honor, TNA, and WWE. The 41-year-old recently opened up about a long-term issue that was still ongoing in WWE today.

The phrase "50/50 booking" is used to describe a wrestler's creative direction when they win and lose a similar number of matches. For example, if someone wins on television and then loses a week later, fans might criticize the creative team for preventing them from gaining momentum.

Many fans have praised WWE Chief Content Officer, Triple H, for changing the on-screen product since replacing his father-in-law, Vince McMahon, in 2022. However, EC3 said on Sportskeeda Wrestling's The Wrestling Outlaws that some problems remain even to date.

"It's kinda like no matter what you do, this is the old mentality, I think morale has improved greatly, but nothing matters. You can get great reactions and nothing matters because it's just week to week to week to week the same thing. 'Well, you won last week, so now you gotta lose this week.' They'll get a win. They gotta get their win back," he said. [3:36 – 3:58]

EC3 addresses WWE's creative difficulties

With several hours of weekly programming to create, EC3 appreciates that wins and losses are not necessarily a priority for WWE's higher-ups.

The four-time 24/7 Champion also understands how storyline continuity can be a problem when so many shows take place every week.

"The foresight and the lack of focus on a long-term to build to culminating moments that mean something, I think, which is very hard when you have 15 hours a week of original content you gotta put out and only so many limited pieces," EC3 added. [4:00 – 4:14]

In the same episode, the former NXT star said WWE's latest big-name signings are likely to be "marketing machines" when they arrive in the company.
