EC3 worked for WWE between 2009 and 2013 before returning for another run with the company between 2018 and 2020. The four-time 24/7 Champion recently gave his thoughts on The War Raiders' latest tag title victory.
Erik and Ivar have both undergone neck surgery in recent years. On the December 16 episode of RAW, the two men defeated Finn Balor and JD McDonagh to capture the World Tag Team Championship.
EC3 heard about The War Raiders' win for the first time on Sportskeeda's The Wrestling Outlaws with host Dr. Chris Featherstone and former WWE writer Vince Russo. Reacting to the title change, the 41-year-old only had positive things to say about his former co-workers' triumph:
"I grew up with Erik over here in the Cleveland scene, so it's always cool to see him succeed," EC3 said. "It's very cool to see Hanson, I forget his Viking name [Ivar], but what he went through with his neck, breaking his neck, to come all the way back. Though we talk about the title, that's meaningful, that's like something bad happening, setting a goal, working towards it, and accomplishing the goal, that's why titles do have meaning. Super cool, happy for them." [From 0:48 – 1:17]

Vince Russo on The War Raiders as a WWE tag team
In the late 1990s, Vince Russo was WWE's head writer when RAW often drew the highest ratings in the show's history.
The one-time WCW World Heavyweight Champion is never afraid to call WWE's creative team out for its booking flaws. However, he has no issues with the recent presentation of Erik and Ivar:
"The Raiders are believable," Russo said. "Thank God. We got two guys that look like freaking wrestlers and they can hurt you, so I have no problem with that whatsoever." [From 03:55 – 04:05]
In the same episode, EC3 shared a little-known story about the origin of Chelsea Green's Hot Mess nickname.
