On the latest edition of the “Bischoff on Wrestling” podcast, some interesting insights about the recently concluded Survivor Series match between Goldberg and Brock Lesnar were given by Eric Bischoff.
During the podcast, the former WWE RAW General Manager spoke about the fight between this duo and shared his thoughts on the booking decision. He said that WWE surprised everyone with their booking for the match and went on to praised the company for the same.
Eric liked the idea of Goldberg squashing Brock Lesnar and added that the match got a great reaction from the WWE circles. Eric even went ahead and rated the match an 8 on a scale of 10.

Here is what he has to say about the “Action” part of this match:
“That being Story, Anticipation, Reality, Surprise and Action (SARSA). They had four out of those five story elements really well nailed going into the PPV. The fifth one was the element of surprise.”
He also added that he didn’t think anyone could have predicted such a booking for this big match.

Bischoff said that even Goldberg couldn’t have predicted such a finish to the match, particularly given the hype that the match had accrued over the past few weeks. The execution of the aforementioned SARSA was perfect and thus Eric thinks that WWE delivered a home run.
Goldberg delivered two Spears and a Jackhammer to end the match within 2 minutes. Have a look at the below video clip:
Eric also opined that this match could bring WWE some huge business. This has been very clearly evident after Survivor Series, especially after looking at the ratings this match scored.
Yet another indication that WWE has largely benefited out of this bout is their decision to book Goldberg for Royal Rumble. Add to it that Goldberg will also be a part of the Rumble match! What better way can the company think of welcoming the New Year?
