WWE Superstar Ethan Page recently took to social media to send a cryptic message to The Rock following NXT New Year's Evil. The two came face to face in a backstage segment on the show.

After making his electrifying appearance on WWE RAW's Netflix debut on January 6, 2025, The People's Champion also appeared on this week's developmental brand. During the show, Ethan Page confronted The Rock's daughter and NXT General Manager, Ava, in a backstage segment, showcasing his dismay after he was not booked on the New Year's Evil match card.

However, the Final Boss interrupted the two and told Page he needed to respect Ava's position in the black-and-silver brand to be 'cool' with The Brahma Bull. Ethan agreed.

According to Variety, NXT New Year's Evil had the developmental brand's highest television viewership in over five years. This report caught Ethan Page's attention, and he replied to it on X/Twitter. Although the former NXT Champion did not write anything, he posted a photo with The Rock from their backstage segment, seemingly suggesting that the black-and-silver brand achieved this feat because of him and The Great One.

WWE Hall of Famer believes The Rock needs to face Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 41

During a recent edition of the Busted Open podcast, WWE Hall of Famer Bully Ray said that he believed a dream match between The Rock and Roman Reigns needed to happen at WrestleMania 41.

Ray also believed Las Vegas was the perfect opportunity for a high-profile match like this.

"[The] Rock versus Roman [Reigns] is too big a box office all over the world for it to never happen, and I would say it kind of has to happen this year at WrestleMania. Because if we get all the way to next year, who the hell knows? I mean, Vegas is the perfect place for this, the perfect opportunity for this. Otherwise, what are we doing with Roman? Roman and Jacob? Okay, maybe I’m just... I’m just giving you a suggestion if it’s not going to be Rock," stated Bully Ray.

It will be interesting to see what the Triple H-led creative team plans to do with The Rock's future in WWE.
