A major name could make an appearance on RAW's debut on Netflix to end Kevin Owens' reign of terror in WWE. According to wrestling analyst Sam Roberts, Cody Rhodes and Owens coming face-to-face on the blockbuster episode is possible.
The recently concluded Saturday Night's Main Event saw The American Nightmare successfully defend his Undisputed WWE Championship against KO, albeit in a controversial fashion. Post-match, The Prizefighter hit Rhodes with a Package Piledriver and the latter suffered a serious injury.
Speaking on the latest edition of Notsam Wrestling podcast, Roberts stated that WWE could include a segment between Cody Rhodes and Kevin Owens on RAW's premiere on Netflix. However, the analyst felt that the match between Rhodes and Owens should take place at Saturday Night's Main Event on January 25, 2025:
"Is the idea that Netflix RAW is a show that's going to be centred around Roman [Reigns] and Solo [Sikoa]? Or you [WWE] gonna make this just the most massive RAW that anybody can conceive of? And if that's the plan, then the idea of Cody Rhodes showing up, finally getting healthy just in time to get to Los Angeles and face Kevin Owens on Netflix RAW, that might be it. But I think more realistically, January 6th is a great spot for a confrontation to happen between KO and Cody Rhodes. Then you can have the match at Saturday Night's Main Event [January 25, 2025] and then whoever loses that match, and if Owens loses it again, then he can walk into the Royal Rumble match with a sense of purpose," said Sam Roberts. Triple H or a WWE legend could get involved in the Cody Rhodes-Kevin Owens feud
Shortly after Kevin Owens' vicious attack on Cody Rhodes, he looked to escape the arena with the Winged Eagle Belt but was stopped by Triple H. The two pushed each other around before being separated by officials.
Sportskeeda Wrestling's Bill Apter believes that The Game or Randy Orton could take up the role of a special referee for Rhodes and The Prizefighter's next match:
"[For Cody Rhodes and Kevin Owens' next match] Either Triple H special referee or Randy Orton," said Bill Apter.
The Viper has not appeared on WWE TV after being hit with a piledriver by Owens on SmackDown and will no doubt be eager to get revenge on his former tag team partner. It remains to be seen how Triple books this storyline in the coming weeks.
