Paul Heyman has been absent from WWE television since Solo Sikoa's Bloodline took him out on the June 28 edition of SmackDown. However, the Hall of Famer continues to help superstars backstage. A former World Heavyweight Champion recently detailed his conversation with The Wiseman last Monday on RAW.
After winning the Fatal Four-Way Match to determine the number-one contender for Gunther's World Heavyweight Championship, Damian Priest will have a chance to recapture the title from The Ring General at Survivor Series: WarGames. The pair had a heated confrontation last Monday as they kicked off RAW with their segment.
WWE analyst Peter Rosenberg called Priest on the Cheap Heat podcast to praise his promo. The former Judgment Day member disclosed that he felt good and comfortable as he had the face-off with Gunther. Meanwhile, he disclosed that he had a brief conversation with Heyman backstage after the confrontation, revealing that Roman Reigns' Wiseman told him that there was no longer a distinction between his character and real-life persona.
"For instance, Heyman was talking to me after and he was like, 'You're, there's no distinction between, you know, the character and the person. Like, that's you. That's you now,'" he said. [30:58 - 31:07]

Ex-WWE writer thinks Damian Priest will lose to Gunther
Damian Priest lost the World Heavyweight Championship at SummerSlam. While he now has a chance to recapture the title at Survivor Series: WarGames, former WWE writer Freddie Prinze Jr. does not think it will happen.
On his Wrestling with Freddie podcast, the Hollywood star claimed the company booked Gunther against Priest to re-establish The Ring General's aura after his recent loss to Cody Rhodes at Crown Jewel.
"I think this is to make Gunther look good. Both guys are gonna look good but it's to make the champ re-establish him as the champ because now there's like this fracture in his armor and we need to seal that fracture up," he said.
Gunther was pinned twice this year by Sami Zayn at WrestleMania and Rhodes at Crown Jewel respectively. It will be interesting to see if Priest can do the same at the upcoming premium live event on November 30.
