An ex-WWE writer has given Paul Heyman his flowers for the career he has had and a subsequent resurgence in the 2010s that has continued to this day. He even said that The Wiseman of The Bloodline helped him backstage despite him not being a fit overall.

In a Sportskeed Wrestling Exclusive hosted by Kevin Kellam, ex-WWE writer Jon Rineman went into depth about his new book about reimagining the history of the Boston Celtics. Rineman had a short stint with WWE from August to November 2019.

Despite a short-lived run with the pro wrestling juggernaut, Rineman told Kevin Kellam that he was happy for everybody in the company for all the recent success. He admitted that he was in WWE at a weird time in his life and didn't fit in like he would have wanted to.

With that said, he credited Paul Heyman for doing his best to keep him involved:

Top name doesn't want to enter the WWE Hall of Fame. More details HERE.

"I'm happy for them. When I was in WWE, it was a weird time in my life. Also, it was ships in the night. It was the sort of thing where I was like 'Yeah, if I was here 12 years earlier, 15 years earlier when I was really young, in college for me, this would be the perfect fit.'"

He continued:

"I call it the Eiffel Tower principle, meaning that it's beautiful to look at, but when you get inside, you can't look at it anymore. You got to do the work, you can't look at any of the beauty. But Paul Heyman tried so hard to keep me involved and found so many things for me to do and taught me so much about life, especially because I was a new father at the time and he has a couple of kids, and he taught me so much there." Jon Rineman said the new era of WWE is "redemption" for Paul Heyman

While praising everyone for the success that WWE has had, Jon Rineman emphasized how it's redemption specifically for Paul Heyman, who he said fought hard to get where he is:

"It's sort of redemption for him. We all know he went away for a long time. I think it was about six or seven years. Long time. He told me some of that and I'll keep that here but it wasn't easy for Paul. He fought really hard to do other things and stay busy and I love that he has had his second act. I loved his Hall of Fame induction." (13:35-14:05)

Heyman seems to be thriving in his role with The Bloodline - approaching four years of association with the group. That's a few years short of his on-screen association with Brock Lesnar, though. That lasted for seven to eight years between two stints.
