WWE Hall of Famer Trish Stratus revolutionized women's wrestling, inspiring countless women to step into the ring and prove their athleticism and charisma. Among several aspiring athletes who looked up to the Diva of the Decade, Chelsea Green is one. The former two-time WWE Women's Tag Team Champion recently shared how she began her wrestling career.
The Hot Mess is currently in her second stint with the Stamford-based promotion following her return at the 2023 Royal Rumble Premium Live Event. Since then, Green has held the Women's Tag Team Title, once with Sonya Deville and later with Piper Niven.
The 33-year-old female star recently joined Sheamus on his Celtic Warrior Workouts episode on YouTube. The former World Heavyweight Champion asked Green how she got into the wrestling scene altogether.
Chelsea Green revealed that she was curious about wrestling while studying at the University of Calgary. Driven by her aspiration to become a WWE Diva, the Hot Mess discovered Lance Storm's wrestling academy nearby and reached out to the 55-year-old legend via email, expressing her desire to follow in the footsteps of Trish Stratus.

The former two-time women's champion was a student of Lance Storm's Wrestling Academy in Canada. However, the training school based in Calgary has been completely closed since 2019.
During the same interaction with Sheamus on the Celtic Warrior Workouts episode, Chelsea Green disclosed that the 55-year-old legend spotted her over-the-top and dramatic personality and encouraged her to pursue a wrestling career after a meeting at his wrestling school.
"And he [Lance Storm] was like, 'Okay, come into my school, we'll see if you can be the next Trish [Stratus]. And when he met me, he was like, 'Wait, you're so over the top and dramatic, I think you could do this [wrestling]," she added. [From 02:56 to 03:07]
In the past few months, the former seven-time WWE Women's Champion has repeatedly mentioned that she is unaware of the term retirement.
Only time will tell if fans will ever witness a potential Chelsea Green vs. Trish Stratus match in the Stamford-based promotion.
