WWE has been making many changes to its product under the creative leadership of Triple H. A couple of former employees recently lashed out at a major upcoming change to the company's premium live events.
WWE changed WrestleMania to a two-night format during the pandemic era and decided to stick with it to provide fans with more entertainment. In reality, the change brings in more revenue for the company which helps it dish out better products.
However, Jonathan Coachman and Vince Russo have not been in favor of the big change. While speaking on Sportskeeda Wrestling's The Coach and Bro Wrestling Show, the two former WWE employees talked about another upcoming big change to the Big 4 PLEs.
Coachman noted that the company has toyed with the idea of changing all four big PLEs to two-night events. However, most cities have backed out from paying for such big shows.

However, he noted that New Jersey is paying WWE $7 million for a two-night SummerSlam event. The change to the show did not sit well with Coachman and Russo.
"It has to be the dumbest idea outside of making another night's gate," Coachman said. "It has to be a two-night event. I hate the two night events."
Russo commented that the company only stretches the shows to two nights and waters down the rivalries. This makes both nights a drag.
"They stretch it out and they so water it down to have two nights. Ah, I can't stand it," Vince Russo said.
The talk stemmed from WWE's eagerness to potentially host WrestleMania in England. The Coach pointed out that the city that will host the event will likely foot the bill for the major costs involved in bringing the company's biggest show to the United Kingdom.
Ex-WWE employee Jonathan Coachman explained why cities wanted to host two-night events
While speaking on Sportskeeda Wrestling's The Coach and Bro Wrestling Show, Jonathan Coachman noted why some cities wanted two-night events even though the cost of hosting the same was much higher.
He argued that many cities were interested in the revenue and attention such big events brought to the city. Hotel occupancies increased, allowing the city to collect more hotel tax. Additionally, Uber and ride-hailing services and restaurants also generated more revenue and taxes for the city.
It makes sense why cities would want to host two-night events. WWE could soon transition all four big PLEs into two-night events.
