Former WWE head writer Vince Russo recently spoke about how he would have booked the War Raiders. The tag team has made a huge impact on RAW since its return.

Last week on RAW, the War Raiders defeated the team of Rey Mysterio & Dragon Lee and the New Day to earn the opportunity to challenge The Judgment Day for the World Tag Team Championship. This week, Erik and Ivar put on another stellar performance against the New Day, eliminating any doubts that their win last week was a fluke.

This week on Sportskeeda Wrestling's Legion of RAW, Vince Russo claimed that if he booked the tandem, he would have explained more about their gimmick and lifestyle to fans. He felt that the WWE Universe would relate to the tag team if they knew more of Erik and Ivar's backstory. Russo further detailed that WWE didn't bother about their storyline, and now it was too late.

"I don't know where we go from here. I don't know. I can't help you with that." Russo added, "This is not their fault. What I would have done from day one was I would have explained the Viking lifestyle. I would have explained how they live, why they're into it, [and] what's behind it. That's what I would have done from day one. They never ever did any of that. And now it's too late." [From 18:28 onwards]

It will be interesting to see whether The Judgment Day can survive the vicious onslaught from the War Raiders when the two teams lock horns for the World Tag Team Championship.
