Ex-WWE employee outraged over Kevin Owens' footage surfacing online (Exclusive)

Former WWE head writer Vince Russo recently spoke about Kevin Owens' heel turn. The SmackDown star betrayed his friend Cody Rhodes following Bad Blood this past weekend.

After an exhilarating Bad Blood, a video surfaced online where Kevin Owens was seen attacking Cody Rhodes in the parking area. The two stars were seemingly having a conversation before KO shockingly started assaulting the Undisputed WWE Champion.

On Sportskeeda Wrestling's Legion of RAW, Vince Russo said the segment looked rehearsed and choreographed. The veteran writer was amazed that WWE was pushing the angle that the brawl was filmed by fans. He ridiculed Owens for throwing soft punches during the altercation.

"Bro, the freaking bar has been so lowered that people actually believe that Owens attacking Cody was shot by a fan. They actually believe it was a shoot regardless of Kevin Owens throwing namby-pamby rabbit punches. Are you kidding me, bro? That could not have looked any more fake." [From 27:16 onwards]

With Crown Jewel coming up next month, Cody Rhodes has to turn his attention towards Gunther. The two champions will collide to decide who becomes the inaugural Crown Jewel Champion.

It will be interesting to see whether Owens explains his actions on Friday's SmackDown.
