Former WWE head writer Vince Russo spoke about the last time he interacted with Triple H. Hunter is the company's Chief Content Officer.
Russo worked with WWE through the 1990s. He started as a writer for the company's magazine and gradually rose up the ranks to become the head writer. While the veteran is often credited with the company's success during the Attitude Era, he was also involved in some controversial decisions that led to WCW's closure.
During this week's Legion of RAW podcast, Russo recalled sending an email to Hunter asking him to induct former WWE star Jason Sensation into the Hall of Fame. Jason was undergoing a health scare, and the former writer felt it would be a good gesture. Vince mentioned that The Game responded to his email, and the two had a nice chat.
"I'll be honest with you, man. My good friend, Jason Sensation, was in a bad health situation. So, I emailed Triple H. The last time I spoke to him was 1999. I emailed Triple H, and I said, 'Bro, it'd be a nice gesture to put Jason Sensation in the Hall of Fame. It would make the dude's life. The dude still loves WWE.' And Triple H answered me back which I thought was pretty nice of him. I'm not particularly kind to the WWE. But he answered me back, and we had a nice exchange," he recalled. [From 18:48 onwards]
