The Vince McMahon Netflix docuseries told the story of Shane McMahon attempting to prove he was worthy of running WWE one day. Dutch Mantell, formerly known as Zeb Colter in WWE, recently gave his thoughts on a memorable moment from the six-part special.
In an interview for the documentary, WWE personality Paul Heyman recalled how Shane and Vince McMahon once disagreed on an idea. According to Heyman, Vince told his son he would have to stab him with a knife to take WWE away from him.
On Sportskeeda Wrestling's Smack Talk, Mantell told Sid Pullar III that he knew almost every story in Mr. McMahon except Heyman's revelation:
"Nothing is new. Nothing is uncovered. The only thing that was new to me, and we were just talking about it before we went on the air, is when Vince and Shane were talking about doing something with the business and they were eating and Vince reaches over there and hands him the knife and says, 'Here, stab me right in the heart because that's the only way [Shane will run WWE]. You're gonna have to kill me to make me do that.'" [4:28 – 4:53]
Corey Graves deleted his Tweet! More details HERE.
Mantell added that he enjoyed Heyman's story but does not believe the incident ever happened:
"I'm thinking, 'Get the F outta here! He ain't gonna have to kill you to get you to do something.' Great story but I just don't believe it." [4:53 – 5:03]

Dutch Mantell praises Vince McMahon's vision
In the 1980s, Vince McMahon purchased WWE from his father before buying several wrestling territories to turn the company into a global phenomenon.
Dutch Mantell performed as the Uncle Zebekiah and Zeb Colter characters while McMahon was in charge of WWE creative. Reflecting on the 79-year-old's success as a businessman, Mantell thinks his former boss deserves praise:
"Vince is, you gotta give him credit, he is the reason that wrestling is as big as it is today. I don't think anybody else would have had that foresight, would have had that long-term vision that Vince had." [10:50 – 11:07]
McMahon resigned as a board member of WWE's parent company TKO in January "out of respect" amid misconduct allegations. The former WWE Chairman denies any wrongdoing.
