WWE Superstar The Miz recently lost the RAW Tag Team Championship after his teammate R-Truth got tricked by Liv Morgan. However, The A-Lister has added another feather to his already illustrious cap with the airing of his documentary. Interestingly, a former superstar in the company shared a hilarious detail right after the documentary’s release.
Matt Cardona, formerly known as Zack Ryder, was one of the stars who had worked with The Miz in the 2010s. Cardona had worked hard for the Intercontinental Championship in the runup to WrestleMania 32. While he won the match at 'Mania, he subsequently registered an unexpected loss the very next night on Monday Night RAW in a rematch against The Miz.
Notably, Cardona’s father was also involved at WrestleMania 32 where he joined his son’s celebrations. Interestingly, he shared a text message conversation between him and his father via a tweet on X that carried a hilarious kick to it.
His tweet came in response to a tweet by Miz asking fans if they were watching the documentary on A&E TV. Thus, Matt Cardona gracefully hyped The Miz at his expense by sharing this memory.
Matt Cardona often pokes fun at The Miz
The documentary featuring The Miz made by A&E TV is receiving a lot of recognition and appreciation from both fans and pro wrestlers.
While the iconic John Cena called the former WWE Champion one of the most underrated stars, Matt Cardona called him a legend in a unique way.
Cardona stated that missionary Mike was a legend of the sport, poking fun at the Grand Slam Champion.
“MISSIONARY MIKE IS A LEGEND!”
While the former Zack Ryder refused to elaborate his words any further, it can be considered that this may be an inside joke between them.
Cardona has previously teased making a return to WWE. However, a return has not yet come to fruition. It remains to be seen whether he will be able to work with The Miz once again in the future.
