Not every WWE wrestler has been fortunate enough to go out on their own terms. Chief among them was Triple H. Wrestling analyst Sam Roberts recently discussed whether The Game will wrestle again after what happened post-Saturday Night's Main Event.
Cody Rhodes successfully retained his Undisputed WWE Championship against Kevin Owens this past weekend.
The match had a controversial ending. The Prizefighter would have become the new champion had the referee, Charles Robinson, not been inadvertently knocked out.
The outcome drove Kevin Owens crazy as he hit Cody Rhodes with a banned package piledriver after the match, resulting in The American Nightmare being hospitalized.
Kevin Owens stole the Winged Eagle title and got into a physical confrontation with Triple H on his way out. This left fans wondering whether Hunter would step back inside the squared circle again.
Speaking on the Notsam Wrestling podcast, Sam Roberts said he doesn't think the ongoing angle will lead to a match between Triple H and Kevin Owens anytime soon.
"All I can think about is this idea that can you imagine, it's not gonna happen, I don't think it's gonna happen, but Triple H having one last match, and it being against Kevin Owens? Is the Kevin Owens that we saw show up on WWE after being in NXT, answer the John Cena open challenge and pin John Cena on a pay-per-view, fresh off of NXT, this is the same Kevin Owens that brought Stone Cold Steve Austin out of retirement to main event one more WrestleMania against him. John Cena, Stone Cold Steve Austin, adding Triple H to that list. I mean, my god, my god. I don't think it's gonna happen, but it was so crazy to just see hints of it." (14:57 - 15:52)

Triple H officially announced his retirement from in-ring competition at WrestleMania 38. He has been advised not to wrestle again after suffering a near-fatal cardiac event.
He last wrestled in an Unsanctioned Match against Randy Orton on the January 11, 2021, episode of RAW.
What's next for Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes?
Cody Rhodes will likely be out of action for the foreseeable future.
WWE recently issued a statement on The American Nightmare's condition after he was stretchered out of the arena this past weekend.
The 39-year-old superstar has been diagnosed with axial compression of the cervical spine and has cervical strain with spasm.
The nature of his injury is likely to be kayfabe, similar to Randy Orton's. But with the Winged Eagle belt in his possession, it will be interesting to see what Kevin Owens does next.
