Ex-WWE writer praises Chelsea Green ahead of Money in the Bank

A former WWE writer has praised Chelsea Green as a talent ahead of Money in the Bank. The SmackDown star has qualified for the Women's Money in the Bank Ladder match this Saturday night in Toronto, Canada.

Freddie Prinze Jr. is a former WWE writer and has also made a name for himself in Hollywood. He currently hosts the Wrestling with Freddie podcast with comedian Jeff Dye, and they welcomed Chelsea Green as their guest in the latest episode.

During the conversation, Prinze Jr. praised Green and noted that she was now getting to showcase her talent in front of a mainstream audience.

"When you first came in, the character of Chelsea Green was distinctly not as much a wrestler as a behind the scenes valet, manager, like hybrid-type character. But in the last few weeks, they have let you go. And you’ve gotten to show not just like the Lucha crowds and the TNA crowds, but now the mainstream of wrestling fans, now they get to see this character and they go 'Oh sh** she can go.' Former WWE writer Vince Russo praises Chelsea Green's charisma

Wrestling legend Vince Russo is a huge fan of Chelsea Green and claimed that she has shown more charisma than the majority of WWE's main roster.

During an episode of Sportskeeda Wrestling's Writing with Russo show in January, the veteran claimed WWE had no idea what to do with Green. He noted that she is a talented actress, a team player, and it was a shame the promotion had nothing for her to do earlier this year.

"I am gonna throw my name out because again, this is the one person on the roster that has shown more charisma than any other female on the roster, and that's Chelsea Green... Not having a clue of what to do with this talented actress. You could see she is a team player, she will take the 1-2-3, she will bump all over the place...
