Former WWE tag team champions, Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston haven't been on the best of terms lately. Both men share a lot of history and have achieved almost everything that a tag team can. However, there seem to be some issues among them lately, hinting that the duo could break apart very soon.

Last week on WWE RAW, The New Day defeated The Final Testament in a tag team match, thanks to some assistance from R-Truth. However, when the latter was getting attacked by The Final Testament, Woods wanted to leave it all behind, denying Kofi Kingston the chance to help the veteran.

Addressing the segment in a recent edition of Jim Cornette's Drive-Thru, Jim Cornette questioned Kofi Kingston's instinct of not helping R-Truth even if Woods was trying to stop him. The veteran hinted that the former WWE Champion himself didn't want to help Truth, potentially referencing a heel turn very soon.

"He was not trying to break free, right? And to me - did you see that? He’s like, 'No, we... No, stay back here. But we should go!' Mother*****r, you're a grown man. How is this guy, unless he’s actually fighting you, really holding you back if you really want to go? That’s my point," said Cornette [4:07 onwards]

Will WWE split The New Day soon?

While The New Day has had some major issues amongst themselves lately, it is quite hard for the fans to think of them splitting up any time soon. With the history both men have had as one of the greatest tag teams to ever grace the squared-circle, WWE deciding to turn them into singles stars would be a massive decision.

However, if Kofi Kingston turns heel, things may not go his way. Rather, the entire New Day would then turn heel, once again possibly getting to the top of the company. Fans will have to wait and see what Triple H has planned for the duo next.
