A former WWE Superstar has shared an update on his well-being while speaking with The Undertaker on his Six Feet Under podcast. The star, Hornswoggle, worked for the Stamford-based promotion back in 2006-16.
Hornswoggle made a name for himself in World Wrestling Entertainment back in the day. He was released from the promotion in May 2016. He has been frequently working on the independent scene since then.
In a new interview on The Undertaker's Six Feet Under podcast, Hornswoggle opened up about his health and shared a heartbreaking update. Check out his comment below:
“Making towns at 38 years old. Feeling like I’m 58. At 38, I have a hearing aid. I’ve had 2 back surgeries in the last 3 years and just still living life.” [H/T - Wrestling News]
The ex-WWE star also talked about his botched surgery
Hornswoggle also told The Undertaker that he was born with scoliosis. He underwent surgery to straighten his spine when he was four years old and it didn't end well for him.
“He cut me open. He hit a nerve in my spine and ended up paralyzing me because he’s never done surgery on my people. [At 4], I had that surgery and was paralyzed from the waist down, full body cast. We found a doctor in Minneapolis who specializes in little person surgeries. He put a rod in my back. First thing he says to my parents is, 'No trampolines and no contact sports.' Years and years later, when I started working for WWE, he randomly called my dad and was like, 'I see he didn’t listen to me.'”
Hornswoggle won one championship during his lengthy run in WWE. He won the Cruiserweight Title at The Great American Bash 2007. The title belt was later retired without the company making an official announcement.
