A female WWE Superstar has spoken up about being legally blind in her left eye. She has also detailed what happened after that.
The wrestling world is very aware of Natalya and her contribution to WWE and wrestling in general. As part of the famous Hart Family, her time in wrestling has not only seen her own legacy grow but that of the entire family as well.
In an interview with Sports Illustrated, Natalya spoke about how she was born legally blind in one eye. She admitted that she kept it secret, and no one in the company knew that she was born with astigmatism and was blind in her left eye.

"I don't think even really anybody in WWE knew about it because I kept it pretty secretive. I was born with astigmatism... I was legally blind in my left eye."

However, the summer of 2024 changed it. She said that after years of struggling due to the lack of technology to fix her eye, she finally restored her sight this summer during her time off. She found an eye doctor who had the technology, and not only did they give her a permanent solution, but they even strengthened her right eye.
“I had a little time off this summer in between my contract re-signing. And I was like, if I had this time off, I'm going to ask WWE if I can get this fixed because I went and found an eye doctor,” Neidhart said. "Newsom Eye in Tampa. Natalya talked about her struggles with her eye when wrestling in WWE
Earlier, despite visiting doctors, specialists, and surgeons, Natalya's eye could not be fixed, and she was not qualified for LASIK due to the shape of her eye.
She said that they didn't have the technology to fix it. A contact lens didn't work for her either, and she kept facing issues, thus wrestling with only one eye. The former Women's Champion noted that she was just going to let the right eye do all the work, and that was her approach for a long time.
Thankfully, with what happened earlier this year, she can now see perfectly.
